Welcome!

When my family moved into the area, I was praying for a little church where I could pour my heart into ministry and grow with the people. God heard my prayer and matched me up with Christ Lutheran in Sharon! The people of God in this place are constantly teaching me about what it means to give and receive God’s love. We journey together--blessing each other, learning, growing in faith, serving our neighbors-and laughing a lot too!

A little bit about me: I grew up in Neenah, WI and received my undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. Before entering the ministry, I taught seventh grade language arts and fifth grade general education. I have been the pastor here for three years, and have been ordained for ten.

My husband, Tom Dowling, is also a pastor and serves Williams Bay Lutheran Church. People always ask us if we write sermons together. Although we often talk about the scripture texts for the week, our sermons are totally different! We have a daughter who is in third grade and a black cat named Spirit.

One of the things I love most about being a pastor is walking with people through joy and sorrow and sharing God’s love in all the moments of life. My passions include poetry— both reading and writing —and walking anywhere beautiful.
